The Degenerates -May 11, 2012
“The more you drink, the better we sound†is not what you would normally want to say about your band…unless you are The Degenerates. The perfect blend of cockiness, obnoxiousness, and humor, they fully live up to their “no-image imageâ€, yet still sound good, and consistently pack each venue they play. Forming in 2002 The Degenerates have quickly become one of the premier local bands in the Metro-Hartford area. The Degenerates have earned numerous accolades including winning The Hartford Advocate Grand Band Slam in 2007, 2006 and 2002, taking second place in 2005 and getting nominated for the Valley Advocate’s best cover band in MA. Lead vocalist Mike Tracy garnered honors as the Hartford Advocate’s Best Male Vocalist in 2007. The set list which includes top 40, classic rock, alternative and kitschy 80’s tunes – played with a tongue-in-cheek seriousness that only enhances their arrogant charm, is guaranteed to get any crowd going. The Degenerates have been selected to headline multiple Hartford open air music festivals performing in front of thousands of fans. They have also appeared in a guest spot interview on KISS 95.7. The band has performed with national acts such as EVE6 and Jani Lane from 80s band Warrant. The Degenerates have been proudly sponsored by Bud Light since 2004 and are a regular featured act at select Bud Light events. They have written theme songs for local CT radio personalities such as 106.9 WCCC’s Don Steele on Sunday mornings and Sebastian on the weekday morning drive broadcast. Building on the momentum of their success, and not content with being just another local cover band, The Degenerates have recently completed a CD of original music. Their original material is energetic, mainstream pop rock with catchy hooks and crunchy guitar riffs. Tight harmonies and pulsing bass lines top off the new tunes. With singer/guitarist Mike Tracy, lead guitarist Tony Botticello, bass player David Chirico, and Bryn Much on drums, The Degenerates exude their energy from the stage into the crowd. The band was recently featured on WCCC’s (106.9 FM) “Homegrown†broadcast, where four of their original songs were played on the air, and most recently had the opportunity to open for national touring acts including Bowling for Soup, and Dizzy Reed’s (formerly of Guns and Roses) Hookers and Blow. The Degenerates have already established themselves as one of the top tier cover bands in the Hartford area and with the release of their new original tracks, are on track to become one of the best new original acts to come out of CT.

The Amish Outlaws - April 21, 2012
Four out of the original six of the members of The Amish Outlaws were born and raised in Lancaster, PA and had a strict Amish upbringing. No electricity from land lines, no alcohol, no musical instruments, but their spirits were too wild for the Amish lifestyle. Once they trampled in the Devil’s Playground (the Amish term for the American way of life), there was no turning back. In the years since Rumspringa, the members of the Amish Outlaws have become very well acclimated to the pleasures and vices of the modern world…Â music, most of all.
It was this mutual love of music that brought the Outlaws together in a chance meeting at the 2002 Pocono Vacation Park “Rock and Roll Hootenanny.” Brother Hezekiah and Brother McMullen showed up at the event still in traditional Amish garb. As the most recent defectors, they were still very much living the lives of “Plain People.” While their appearance drew snickers and stares from most of the crowd, Brother Ezekiel, who was attending the Hootenanny with Brother Amos, immediately recognized Brothers Hezekiah and McMullen as the “real deal” and invited them to sit down. Needless to say, the Brothers were soon like brothers, sharing not only the bond of having left the Amish life behind, but also the deep mutual love of music, and together they delved deeply into the 16 years of American culture they missed, watching endless hours of classic MTV, listening to the radio, CDs, records, tapes… anything they could get their hands on. But just listening and watching was not enough… the Brothers soon decided to form a band that combined their love of the modern world and their traditional upbringing. They met Brothers Jakob and Ishmael (both “English†as we call the non-Amish), making them “honorary Amish†when the two joined the band. Thus, with a bold lust for life and a fire for music and performance that can only come from 16 years of repression, The Amish Outlaws were unleashed upon the world.
The Zoo - April 14, 2012
The Zoo is not your average, run-of-the-mill, “three-sets-and-we’re-outta-here!” cover band. Over the past decade the demand for this precise-sounding, high-energy group has far outgrown their available dates. Performing to throngs of people all over the east coast in New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Florida, the Zoo was chosen from over 13,000 band entries for “MTV’s Best Cover Band In The Country” and placed as finalists and prize winners.
Sponsored by Coors Light, the band’s ever-increasing popularity shows no sign of letting up. Randall John on lead vocals and rhythm guitar is one of the most complete frontmen in the business, with a stage presence to match his gifted vocal skills. Nick MacCarron on lead guitar and vocals exhibits the same flair while Steve Tobey on drums and Scott Zant on bass guitar and lead vocals have created a rhythm section that is forceful and tight. On female vocals is the always lovely Ginger DeVito, adding beauty and a powerful voice to make the Zoo the ‘complete’ cover band.

Darik and the Funbags - April 7 2012
Who Are We? Well, that’s a good question! I guess the most accurate definition would be that we are five guys who passionately enjoy entertaining people through music. I can go on and tell you that we’re all seasoned musicians who have played in a variety of different bands since our early teens, but I’d rather focus on what it is we’re doing now. Chris and I (Darik) after trying our luck with the local metal band Free beer (covering bands like Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Van Halen, etc.,) decided to change our direction, our name and our premise. It’s now, if never before, all about doing this for two reasons; To have a good time and drink lot’s of goddamn beer! Why? Well, basically because we believe that when people go out, they want to forget about work, school and all the other BS that goes on in their lives. We want our audience to be able to sing along with the songs they grew up with and be around people who are fun. Darik and the funbags is a coming together of all these things and our goal is to continue to dig deep into our twisted, creative and playfully eccentric minds to create this kind of atmosphere. And of course if all that fails, we all just get drunk and pray for the best. Nevertheless, it’s always a good time! If people walk away saying “I can’t believe I had that great of a time!” then we feel we’ve done our job! If you’ve been to any of our shows then you know why it’s been working so well. It’s undoubtedly because of the people we call “funbaggers”. What’s a funbagger? Well, that would be those who partake in the madness week to week, leaving their inhibitions at home, free to dance, sing and get crazy with no fear of criticism. If you see one of these people, say hi, buy them a drink, take off each others clothes, what have you but do something because they just might change your life, they most definitely have changed ours!
